Since 1984, ATS Mechanical has built its reputation by doing what we say we’ll do, solving difficult problems, and standing behind our work.

What began as an HVAC service company has grown into a full-service mechanical contractor providing HVAC, plumbing, controls, construction, and service. Our capabilities have expanded, our team has grown, and our name has changed, but the way we do business hasn’t.
From a Family Living Room to more than 40 years of Service.
Every company has a beginning. Ours started in a family living room, with a belief that if you take care of your people, do right by your customers, and stand behind your work, you can build something that lasts.

Richard Lowder founded All Temperature Service in 1984 with those principles at the center of the business. What began as a small family operation grew through hard work, relationships, and a reputation earned one customer at a time.
​
In 2004, Richard passed away unexpectedly while responding to a service call. His son, James Lowder, finished the call his father had started before stepping forward to help carry the company into its next chapter. Today, James serves as CEO, continuing the business his father built and carrying forward the principles on which it was founded.
​
Over the decades, ATS has grown significantly in both size and capability. What began as an HVAC service company has become ATS Mechanical, a full-service mechanical contractor taking on larger projects, serving more customers, and continuing to expand our capabilities and reach.
A lot has changed since 1984. Our name has changed. Our company has grown. And the future ahead of us is bigger than Richard could have imagined when he started ATS from his living room.

But the things that matter most haven't changed. We are still family-owned. We still believe our word means something. We still take care of the people who take care of our customers. And more than 40 years later, we are still building on what Richard started, one relationship, one project, and one promise kept at a time.

BUILT FOR WHAT COMES NEXT
ATS Mechanical is growing, not simply in size, but in what we can do for our customers. By bringing HVAC, plumbing, controls, construction, and service together, we are building a mechanical company capable of supporting our customers from the first stages of a project through decades of operation.

Our focus is on growing the right way: investing in our people, developing the next generation of leaders and skilled tradespeople, expanding our capabilities, and finding better ways to solve the increasingly complex challenges our customers face.

We’re proud of where we started. But we’re even more excited about what we’re building next.
Our history gave us our foundation. What we build from it is up to us.
Growth and Innovation
The next chapter of ATS was defined by a willingness to grow beyond what the company had always been.
ATS began primarily as a residential HVAC company, but under James Lowder’s leadership, the company made a deliberate move into commercial service and construction. Working alongside James Haskin, Director of Engineering and a California State Appointed Building Standards Commissioner, ATS expanded its technical capabilities and established a growing presence in commercial HVAC.
​
That growth continued as ATS added plumbing, controls, engineering, and increasingly complex construction capabilities. What started as a family HVAC business was becoming something much larger: a full-service mechanical contractor capable of supporting customers throughout the life of their buildings.
​
Today, that evolution is reflected in our new name, ATS Mechanical. It represents not a departure from our past, but the company that more than four decades of growth have allowed us to become.
​
And we’re not finished growing. The next chapter of ATS is already being built.
